Tri-City Roller Derby and Elaine Beck from Quadfit & Retro Rollers Inc. are teaming up to provide some instruction on roller dance and jam skate moves.Calling all experienced skaters who want to learn some smooth moves that are too fancy for the derby track!!
Elaine will teach some basic moves that you can use to wow your peers at the next local recreational skate night or perform during a long official review to keep yourself and the crowd entertained.
Although Elaine will be teaching basic moves, this session will not cover the basics of roller skating and it’s meant for people who are already comfortable doing the following on skates (standing still and moving):
– side-to-side stepping
– 180- and 360-degree transitions
– standing or gliding on one foot
– side-to-side shuffling
– using toe-stops
Cost is “pay what you can” with a suggested amount of $20 per person. All proceeds go to Tri-City Thunder’s travel fund.
